  • Use 1.25x-1.5x for speeding up podcasts or lectures without losing clarity.
  • Slowing audio to 0.75x is helpful for transcribing fast speech or learning music parts.
  • Enable pitch preservation to keep voices sounding natural at different speeds.
  • Speed values between 0.5x and 2.0x generally produce the best quality results.

By default, pitch is preserved so voices sound natural. You can disable pitch preservation if you want the classic chipmunk (faster) or deep (slower) effect.
This tool adjusts the entire file uniformly. Use the Audio Trim tool first to isolate a section, then apply the speed change.
You can set speed up to 4.0x, though values above 2.0x may reduce speech intelligibility depending on the content.
