Save the PDF with reduced margins and tighter page boundaries.
- Use uniform cropping on all four sides for a balanced look.
- Crop conservatively at first - you can always crop more but cannot restore removed margins.
- This is especially useful for academic papers with large default margins.
- Cropping can make documents easier to read on tablets and e-readers by reducing wasted space.
- Independent margin control for each side (top, bottom, left, right)
- Apply crop to all pages or selected pages only
- Visual preview before applying changes
- Preserves all text, links, and interactive elements
- Removes excess whitespace for more compact printing
- Trim wide academic paper margins for on-screen reading
- Remove printer crop marks and bleed areas from production PDFs
- Optimize PDF page size for tablet or e-reader display
- Crop out header/footer banners to focus on main content
Cropping adjusts the visible page boundary. Content outside the crop area is hidden but may still exist in the file data.
The tool applies the same crop settings to all selected pages. For per-page cropping, process pages individually.
Cropping alone does not significantly reduce file size since hidden content may remain. Use PDF Compress afterward for size reduction.
